Liberty’s Breanna Stewart drops NSFW take on comeback win over Fever
Breanna Stewart was explicit with her remarks about the New York Liberty’s rallying victory over the Indiana Fever on Saturday night.
Going into the fourth quarter, New York trailed 57-54 against Indiana. Despite this, they ignited on the offensive side of the ball by outscoring the Fever 29-18 in the last 10 minutes of regulation.
Stewart played a major role in the team’s victory, reflecting on the win after the game. She expressed the difficulty of winning in the league, showing how they must play on both sides of the ball to secure tough victories.
“This is a really tough league to play in, so if we can separate ourselves defensively, it’ll bring us more offensively. We need to have that sense of urgency from the jump. We’re happy we got the win, but growing pains, it’s needs to be like that all the time,” Stewart said.
“Listen to me. We didn’t shoot the ball well? Like, f*** it. Honestly, we want to win games, whether they’re pretty or they’re ugly, and that’s going to be the separator down the line.”
