Knicks superfan Ben Stiller issues 2-word response to MSG’s NBA Finals court

In a week, New York’s Madison Square Garden (MSG) will host a Knicks NBA Finals game for the first time since 1999, and superfan Ben Stiller is loving the court.

He reacted to the first look at the Knicks’ upcoming home court for their NBA Finals games. Of course, it features the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy at halfcourt, with New York’s logo residing on top of it. Other familiar spots, like the Chase and MSG logos, will remain in their spots.

Stiller only had two words in response to the court design. He wrote, “Let’s. Go,” on X, formerly Twitter, making his support known.

When is Knicks’ first home game vs. Spurs in the NBA Finals?

The Knicks will begin the NBA Finals on the road in San Antonio, Texas, against the Spurs. They finished with a worse record in the regular season, giving the Spurs home-court advantage.

That means the first two games will be played at Frost Bank Center. These games are scheduled for Wednesday, June 3, and Friday, June 5. Regardless of whether the Knicks win or lose the first two, they will host Games 3 and 4 on Monday, June 8, and Wednesday, June 10, at MSG.

For there to be another game at the Garden, which would be held on Tuesday, June 16, the series would have to go at least six games. If Games 5 and 7 are necessary, they will be played in San Antonio.

New York will be well-rested heading into the NBA Finals. They have swept their last two playoff opponents, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Cleveland Cavaliers, on their way to the Finals.

That means that they haven’t played a game since Monday, May 25. They will have had over a week of rest before they head to San Antonio for Game 1. Meanwhile, the Spurs are coming off a grueling seven-game series against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals (WCF).
