Knicks make all-time NBA Playoff history with 37-point Game 4 win

The New York Knicks got the job done in another round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs.

After dismantling the Atlanta Hawks in the first round (six games) and demolishing the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round (four games), Jalen Brunson and company manhandled the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals, sweeping the Cavs in an absolutely dominant fashion.

In the Knicks’ series-clinching win in Game 4 on the road on Monday night, they left no doubt about who the best team was in the series, as they came out on top via a 130-93 score.

That 37-point victory also represents the completion of a historic achievement by New York.

Via ClutchPoints’ social media team:

The Knicks become the FIRST TEAM in NBA history to win 3 series-clinching games by 20+ points in a single postseason 🤯

Vs Hawks: +51 points
Vs Sixers: +30 points
🔸Vs Cavs: +37 points

Dominant run to the Finals!

The Knicks leaned on a balanced attack to thwart Cleveland in the series finale. Karl-Anthony Towns led all New York scorers with 19 points, but four other Knicks produced at least 15 points, including Landry Shamet, who came off the bench and dropped 16 points on the strength of a spectacular 5-for-6 shooting from behind the arc.

But defense was also a key factor in New York’s success, as the Cavs were held to just 42 percent from the floor and forced into 22 turnovers. Those miscues translated into 34 points for the Knicks, who will be enjoying a long rest before the 2026 NBA Finals, as the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder are still battling it out on the other side of the NBA Playoffs bracket.
