Knicks’ Jalen Brunson hilariously stares down Jaylen Brown during Donovan Mitchell’s wedding

Jaylen Brown was expected to be the biggest headline move of the offseason when he was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange of Paul George and draft assets. The fact that the move was followed by the 76ers adding LeBron James in free agency means that they are immediately looked at as one of the top teams in the conference.

Some of the biggest stars from the East recently attended Donovan Mitchell’s marriage to Grammy-winning R&B singer Coco Jones, and a number of clips from the private ceremony have recently gone viral. Among them is a clip that Brown posted on his social media. It featured the New York Knicks’ three-time All-Star and 2026 Finals MVP Jalen Brunson.

The 29-year-old initially stared down hilariously at the camera before turning to his Knicks teammate Josh Hart. He was initially seen swaying to the music while staring at the camera with what can only be described as an eerie smile.

Mitchell has been dating Jones since 2023 and had initially attempted to talk to her via Instagram. However, the two became friends after Jones’ Bel-Air did a collaboration with Mitchell’s shoe-line. The two announced that they were engaged in July 2025 after two years of dating, and were seen dancing to Musiq Soulchild’s “Love” on their wedding day.

Regardless, Mitchell will enter his first season as a married man and will be well aware that the Eastern Conference has seen a clear upgrade in the kind of talent it boasts of. LeBron’s arrival means that the 76ers are immediately one of the biggest contenders with their starting five expected to feature the likes of Joel Embiid, LeBron, Brown, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe.

The Knicks, meanwhile, enter their first season as the defending champions since 1974 and also have every reason to be optimistic about their chances next season.
