King Green vs. Jeremy Stephens prediction, odds, pick for UFC 328

The UFC 328: Chimaev vs. Strickland Main Card is finally here as we’re set for a prediction and pick for this opening bout in the Lightweight (155) Division. UFC Veterans from California will clash as King Green takes on Jeremy Stephens in an exciting scrap. Check our UFC odds series for the Green-Stephens prediction and pick.

King Green (34-17-1) has gone 15-12-1-1 inside the UFC since 2013. After suffering back-to-back losses, he’s bounced back with consecutive wins over Lance Gibson Jr. and Daniel Zellhuber, finishing his last fight via TKO. Now, he’ll look for another win over a fellow veteran as the betting favorite. Green stands 5-foot-10 with a 71-inch reach.

Jeremy Stephens (29-22) owns a 15-19-0-1 record inside the UFC since 2007. Taking a number of fights in PFL during 2022, he returned to the UFC in 2025 with a loss to Mason Jones. He’ll look to once again prove his worth on MMA’s biggest stage as he looks to take out his toughest opponent in quite some time. Stephens stands 5-foot-9 with a 71-inch reach.

UFC 328 Odds: King Green-Jeremy Stephens Odds

King Green: -375

Jeremy Stephens: +295

Over 2.5 rounds: -160

Under 2.5 rounds: +124

Why King Green Will Win

  • Last Fight: (W) Daniel Zellhuber – TKO (strikes, R2)
  • Last 5: 3-2
  • Finishes: 12 KO/TKO, 9 SUB

King Green stunned Daniel Zellhuber in Mexico City during his latest appearance, coming in the +315 betting underdog and becoming the first opponent to knock Zellhuber out inside the distance. Zellhuber, a highly-touted prospect coming into the fight, clearly took his opponent lightly as King Green looked fast and accurate during the bout. Dipping his head and forcing a reaction out of Zellhuber, Green landed a two perfect looping left hands to wobble Zellhuber, ultimately putting him away along the fence.

The win is a perfect example of the dangerous boxing prowess of Green, especially when an opponent is biting on every feint he’s offering. Green will move his head and circle opponents with a unique cadence, making him a tough opponent to hit clean on the feet. Stephens should be whiffing on some of his strikes if he’s overly aggressive, so we’ll see if Green is able to capitalize with the counters and sit his opponent down more than once.

Green has also been fighting UFC level competition without break and continues to perform against veterans and up-and-comers alike. His win over Jim Miller could be a solid indicator as to how Green will strategize around Stephens throughout this fight, but we can certainly expect Green to have the faster hands and the more devastating shots. Look for Green to have a great chance at the knockout the longer this fight wears on.

Why Jeremy Stephens Will Win

  • Last Fight: (L) Mason Jones – U DEC
  • Last 5: 1-4
  • Finishes: 18 KO/TKO, 3 SUB

Jeremy Stephens will be making his second UFC appearance since returning from PFL and dropping his bout to Mason Jones. His most recent action, however, came against Bare-Knuckle champion Mike Perry where Stephens went a near five rounds in a savage showing, but fell to Perry in the final 30 seconds. The willingness to continue fighting and evolving at 39 years old is a prime reason why he’s back on the UFC stage and intending on another exciting performance.

Jeremy Stephens has always been known for his ferocious striking and while he may have lost some speed over the last few years, his power is certainly still where it needs to be to make him a threat. He also does a great job utilizing his head movement, but he’ll have to be very precise when matching Green strike for strike. He should be willing to eat a few punches on the chin, but he shouldn’t wait too long in returning fire and putting some kind of pressure on Green.

While Stephens isn’t likely to engage in much grappling throughout this one, he should look to clinch with Green and negate some of his offense along the fence. Green is very active and once he starts feeling himself fall into a groove, he’s hard to stop as his confidence continues to grow. Look for Stephens to disrupt the timing with his straight right while jabbing and moving out of range.

Final King Green-Jeremy Stephens Prediction & Pick

This should be a fun fight between two proven UFC veterans, but there’s a reason King Green has been able to sustain his UFC run and Stephens has found opportunities outside of the UFC. His last win over Daniel Zellhuber was as perfect as his timing has ever looked, so expect Green to continue showcasing his dominant striking against Stephens.

I don’t see too many scenarios where Stephens is able to out-pace Green in the overall striking numbers and while he’ll he’ll likely push Green to the distance, I see the final totals being lopsided in Green’s favor due to his constant activity and forward pressure. Let’s roll with King Green to win as he does it within three rounds.
