John Mateer reveals early comfort level running Oklahoma offense
The Oklahoma football team got the season started on the right foot, by defeating UTEP on Friday. Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer made some picture-perfect throws while also gaining yards on the ground.
Mateer was overall pleased with his performance.
“Overall it was clean. I thought the guys played really well……I felt good,” Mateer said postgame, per On3.

The Sooners won 51-0. Mateer tossed three touchdown passes in the contest. Oklahoma is now 1-0 on the year.
