Jack Butland to join Premier League side as Rangers get World Cup star in £6million deal

Rangers are closing in on the £6million signing of Hull City and Croatia goalkeeper Ivor Pandur, talkSPORT understands.

The uncapped 26-year-old is currently with the Vatreni squad for the 2026 World Cup as Dominik Livakovic’s backup.

And Pandur is expected to succeed Jack Butland as first choice Gers shotstopper.

In a separate deal, Butland is now set to move to the MKM Stadium as Pandur’s replacement for £3m.

The respective transfers are expected to ease Profit and Sustainability Rules for both sides.

Butland was one of Rangers’ highest earners, and his exit frees up funds for Derek McInnes to strengthen his squad further.

McInnes succeeded Danny Rohl at the Ibrox helm earlier this month after the German departed the Glasgow side to take up the role as Red Salzburg head coach.

Pandur is now set to be Rangers’ fourth summer signing following Lawrence Shankland, Ross McCroie and Ben Godfrey’s respective moves to Ibrox.

Boro close in on Hull forward

26-year-old shotstopper Pandur, meanwhile, won’t be the only summer departure as Hull look to raise funds to take them out of FFP danger.

Scottish forward Kyle Joseph is set for a £5m move to Middlesbrough.

Joseph played no part in Hull’s 1-0 Championship play-off final win over Boro back in May due to injury.

The Tigers were at risk of a points deduction following their Premier League return having overspent by £6m on their PSR calculations.

Boro are expected to use the money raised from Hayden Hackney’s sale to fund the move for the 24-year-old.

Hackney is set for a move to Premier League side Everton after the Toffees agreed a £25m fee for the Boro midfielder, talkSPORT understands.

Th midfielder caught the eye of a number of Premier League sides, including Manchester United and Crystal Palace following Boro’s failed promotion attempt.

However, Everton look to have won the race to sign Hackney, who is entering the final year of his contract on Riverside.
