Arsenal head into their penultimate league phase game of the Champions League on Tuesday night as the last team standing with a 100% record in the competition so far.

Mikel Arteta’s side have won six out of six in Europe this season, leaving them three points clear at the top of the table and needing just one point from their final two matches to be certain of a top eight finish and a place directly into the Round of 16.

The Gunners will make the trip to Italy looking to get back to winning ways though after being held to a 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, ending their winning streak but extending their unbeaten run to 12 matches, and opening up a seven point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

The north London side boast the best record away from home in the Premier League this season in their bid for a first league title in 22 years, and have won five of their last six matches on the road ahead of their trip to the San Siro.

Inter Milan also head into Tuesday night’s crunch clash in strong form having won five of their last six matches, a run which has seen them open up a three point lead at the top of Serie A ahead of their arch rvials AC Milan.

Cristian Chivu inherited a side in the summer who had reached the final of last season’s Champions League, their second time doing so in three years, and will be eager to go one step further in the competition this time around and secure a first European crown in 16 years.

The Italian side have won four of their opening six Champions League fixtures this time around and currently sit sixth in the standings, though with only goal difference separating them from ninth-placed Liverpool in the battle for the top eight.

Tuesday’s match will be just the fourth time the two sides have met in competitive matches, with the Italian side boasting a 2-1 lead in the head-to-head after a 1-0 win at the San Siro only last season, 21 years on from their previous meeting.
