CM Punk smacks away WWE fan’s phone in hotel lobby hours after WrestleMania 42
CM Punk appeared to engage in an altercation with a fan in the lobby of a Las Vegas hotel hours after WrestleMania 42.
The WWE star was captured on video slapping a phone out of the hands of another man, just after midnight Monday.

According to TMZ, who first published the footage, the incident happened in the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino on the Vegas Strip.
The fan, wearing a baseball cap, was reportedly filming WWE superstar Bayley as she was hugging someone in the lobby of the building.
In a separate report, the New York Post identified the woman Bayley was hugging as Punk’s wife, and fellow wrestler, AJ Lee.
Punk, who has been vocal regarding fan interactions in the past, is seen walking over to the man before slamming his phone to the floor.
A bystander quickly stepped between the pair, before security jumped in to ensure things went no further.
Punk was also seen coldly staring at the fan, who was heard apologizing profusely as he walked away.
WWE fans defend CM Punk after Vegas altercation
The footage was shared on social media Monday, and quickly racked up more than a million views, with many suggesting the former world heavyweight champion was well within his rights to stop people filming.
“When are these f****** idiots going to learn? If you see a wrestler at a hotel, leave him/her alone! They’re not on the clock. They don’t owe you anything,” one posted on X.
“Every fan that’s usually on some creeper s*** or doing too much has this same type of swag and look. Just goofy,” another said.
“Wrestling fans are never beating the allegations of being entitled and weird,” a third wrote.
“Deserved. I’d do the same. Put your f****** phone down,” a fourth concluded.
The incident between Punk and the fan happened just hours after the WWE icon lost his title in the main event of WrestleMania 42.
CM Punk beaten in WrestleMania war with Roman Reigns
‘The Second City Saint’ came up short against Roman Reigns on Sunday night, in what’s quickly been dubbed one of the greatest ‘Mania matches of all-time.
Punk and Reigns went to war in a bout that lasted over 33 minutes, and saw the pair battle both in and out of the ring.
The two men exchanged finishers, and plenty of trash talk, in a bloody back-and-forth that ended with the ‘Original Tribal Chief’ unloading two spears to conquer his rival and become the new world heavyweight champion.
It marked the second year in a row that Punk has lost in the main event of WrestleMania, after Seth Rollins topped both him and Reigns in a triple-threat match to close Night 1 of WrestleMania 41.

Following Sunday night’s bloody battle, the landscape of WWE is expected to shift, and Monday night’s Raw could offer some answers into what comes next for Punk.
