Immanuel Quickley’s initial Game 2 injury report status vs. Cavs
Following a Game 1 shellacking, the Toronto Raptors are searching for a way to get back into their opening round playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers with Game 2 on the horizon. And help could come in the form of the injury report. Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley was listed as questionable on the injury report for Game 2 against the Cavs, as per Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.
Immanuel Quickley missed Game 1 due to a hamstring injury, but his inclusion of questionable on the Raptors’ injury report for Game 2 suggests that there is a possibility that he could play against the Cavs. If not in Game 2, then perhaps at some point in this series if the Raptors can make it competitive.
Quickley initially sustained the injury during the Raptors’ final game of the regular season against the Brooklyn Nets. Prior to that, he was coming off a very productive year for the Raptors, his second full season with the team after being acquired in a trade with the New York Knicks during the 2023-24 season.
He appeared in 70 games this season at a little over 31 minutes per game. He averaged 16.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.3 steals with splits of 44.3 percent shooting from the field, 37.4 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 82.1 percent shooting from the free-throw line.
Should he play this series, it will be Quickley’s third time in his career that he’s been in the playoffs. He holds playoff career averages of 7.8 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists while shooting 33.3 percent from the field, 24.3 percent from the 3-point line and 85 percent from the free-throw line.
