Grizzlies’ Zach Edey officially out for season after ankle surgery
The Memphis Grizzlies are looking toward the 2026-27 campaign, and so is Zach Edey. The second-year center is officially done for the remainder of this season after undergoing ankle surgery on Tuesday, per ClutchPoints NBA insider Brett Siegel. He is expected to make a full recovery, but the organization obviously waned to get a longer look at him before heading into the offseason.
Following an impressive rookie year in which he averaged 9.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in just 21.5 minutes per contest, Edey played only 11 games and did not take the court at all in 2026.
