Odell Beckham Jr. delivered a vintage moment Tuesday, making a one-handed catch as he continued his push for a roster spot.

Beckham, now a 33-year-old veteran, opened one of his strongest practices with the leaping grab in East Rutherford, New Jersey. He recorded four receptions during live drills, reinforcing his case before Sunday’s final cuts.

ClutchPoints shared a video of the catch Tuesday on X, formerly Twitter, crediting The Trentonians’ Greg Johnson with capturing the play. Beckham reached behind himself, elevated, and secured the football with one hand.

The play recalled Beckham’s famous three-fingered touchdown catch against the Dallas Cowboys in 2014, which accelerated his rise to stardom during his rookie season with New York.

His performance arrived amid uncertainty in the Giants’ receiving corps. Calvin Austin III sustained what ESPN reported was a serious right knee injury Tuesday and left practice on a cart. Austin had appeared positioned for a significant role, while Beckham worked primarily with the second team throughout camp.

Beckham entered Tuesday’s practice on the roster bubble. He caught two passes for 17 yards in Saturday’s preseason game vs. the Miami Dolphins but dropped a potential touchdown. His limited special-teams value also complicates New York’s evaluation of the veteran receiver.

Still, Tuesday’s practice showed that Beckham’s signature ball skills remain. He did not play in 2025 after receiving a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drugs policy. The Giants signed him to a one-year contract in June, bringing him back to the organization that selected him 12th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Beckham now awaits the Giants’ final roster decision as he looks to carry his reunion into the regular season.
