After making a controversial appearance at a President Donald Trump rally, New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart has talked about making “mature decisions.” Naturally, fans have responded.

Speaking to reporters, Dart told them that he was trying to make “mature decisions” regarding his body in his second season. While he’s going to maintain his aggressiveness, he’ll be smarter going forward. He missed a couple of games with a concussion during his rookie season. He wasn’t talking about his appearance at the Trump rally; fans made that connection.

Another fan tagged the NFL’s official X account, saying, “He should’ve made a ‘mature decision’ before he opened his mouth and showed up.”

It appears most had the same opinion. His decision to introduce Trump at the rally will not be let go by fans anytime soon, as one fan simply said, “He needs to shut up and play football.”

During Trump’s rally in Suffern, New York, on Friday, May 22, 2026, Dart introduced the president before his speech. One of Dart’s teammates, Abdul Carter, called him out for doing so.

“Thought this s**t was AI, what we doing man,” Carter said in response to a video of the viral moment.

He later clarified that he and the quarterback were “good.” They cleared the air and talked “as men.” He dismissed any notion of tension between them.

Dart is heading into his second season with the Giants. He was drafted in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Ole Miss. New York had to trade back into the first round to select him.
