Giants’ Drew Gilbert makes insane home run robbery on Brewers’ Andrew Vaughn
The San Francisco Giants earned a big 12-9 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday. Thanks to an offensive onslaught early in the contest, followed by six runs scored in the top of the seventh, San Francisco took a rather commanding lead. The team made some impressive plays on defense as well, with outfielder Drew Gilbert stealing the spotlight by robbing Andrew Vaughn’s would-be home run.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Milwaukee had a chance to add more runs on the board after Vaughn launched one to deep right-center. It looked as though it was going to go over the fence, but Gilbert made a brilliant play, snagging the ball right as it was crossing the yellow home run line.
