Former WWE champion no longer hates CM Punk after years-long beef

A few years ago, in 2023, CM Punk made his long-awaited return to WWE. After walking out in 2014 and staying away from the promotion for almost nine years, Punk parted ways with AEW and joined WWE.

However, while Punk is now known for having a different personality and getting along well with the people backstage, he held a different reputation over a decade ago. Several people had called him difficult to work with and had major beef with him.

One such personality was former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ryback. Punk had once made certain infamous comments regarding Ryback on the Art of Wrestling podcast over a decade ago. However, Ryback recently claimed that he no longer has a beef with “The Second City Saint.”

“CM Punk. Is there any bad blood? No, I don’t hold onto any hate with that man. I’ve said what I needed to say on it. He said what he said on it, and it doesn’t make sense to hold onto that forever. That doesn’t mean we’ll ever be friends or work together. It doesn’t serve me to hold onto that hate or that anger,” Ryback said while sharing his thoughts on social media.

“I’ve told the truth from the beginning on it. A lot of people love and support me on it. It doesn’t matter what people think. It’s all over with. People will rehash the past. It doesn’t serve me or benefit me, so I’m happy for him on everything. I’m happy he’s back.“

While Punk is the current Undisputed WWE Champion, Ryback is now a social media personality running his own fitness brand.
