Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao II: Fight date, venue and how to watch iconic rematch

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are set to renew their hostilities, 11 years removed from their lucrative inaugural encounter.

When they locked horns for the first time in May 2015, Mayweather got his hand raised via a unanimous decision.

Now, Pacquiao is out for revenge on September 19 at the Las Vegas Sphere.

While their first contest failed to live up to its ‘Fight of the Century’ billing inside the ring, outside of the ropes, it was a massive commercial success.

The event shattered multiple records, including the all-time pay-per-view buys for a combat sports event, pay-per-view revenue and live gate.

4.6million households purchased the first fight, which grossed over $600million in total.

“This time will be the same result.”

Pacquiao said: “It just happened that I’m still active in boxing and he came out of retirement to do it again, so this is it.

“I learnt a lot from that fight way back in 2015. I think we became mature in how to handle (the pressure), and I hope it doesn’t happen again like it did in 2015.

“I’m hoping for this time around, no more excuses, especially to my condition and also for everything.

“Before, he wanted an exhibition fight against me, but I disagreed, and I didn’t want to fight with exhibition (rules).

“I want to fight a real fight, so this is it, this is what I’ve been waiting for.”
