Fever’s Sophie Cunningham teases ‘something exciting’ in near future, and she can’t wait

Something special is in the works for WNBA player Sophie Cunningham, as the Indiana Fever guard revealed, and she’s excited to share more.

Cunningham took to her Instagram Stories to tease a new project. In the video, Cunningham is seen getting ready and doing her hair as Ella Langley’s “Loving Life Again” plays in the background.

“I have something exciting happening and I can’t wait to share with ALL of you,” Cunningham wrote with a variety of different emojis.

Her next post on her Instagram Stories has a link to her Simax Sports storefront. There, fans can buy products from her “Sophie Cunningham Classic 2026” and “Caricature” lines.

It’s unclear if this was the special project she was teasing, as the link wasn’t accompanied by anything else besides a picture of her walking into the arena for a game.

Those are her last two posts on her Instagram. So, fans will want to stay tuned in case she announces the “exciting” new venture soon.

Sophie Cunningham just returned to the Fever

On the floor, Cunningham is back with the Fever for a second season. Cunningham re-signed with Indiana on a one-year deal after spending the 2025 season with them.  She was on the Phoenix Mercury for the first six years of her career. She has made her return to the court after suffering a torn MCL during the 2025 season.

Cunningham has played in three preseason games so far for the Fever this year. She is averaging 7.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.

Her best game was the Fever’s first in an 18-point win over the New York Liberty. Cunningham had 13 points, two rebounds, one assist, and two steals in her first game back from injury. She also made five of her eight shots.

The Fever will begin their 2026 campaign against the Dallas Wings on Saturday, May 9. The game will be broadcast on ABC and Disney+.
