Fans beg Tom Brady to shut up as ‘worst take ever’ on Gianni Infantino is torn to shreds
Tom Brady is facing the wrath of some angry football fans after piling praise on FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
Infantino will be celebrating ten years as president of the organisation later this week and Brady has paid tribute.

The NFL icon and Birmingham City‘s minority owner couldn’t speak highly enough of the Swiss chief in a post shared on Tuesday.
“What Gianni has done, in terms of his leadership, his inclusion, I think Gianni is a man of the people,” Brady told Fox Sports.
“He’s out there celebrating the great parts of the sport. I think he’s made great contributions to the world of football.
“And getting a chance to get to know him and understanding the person he is, the values he represents, I think that really showcases itself within the broader goals of what football is all about.
“Football is for everyone, it’s a chance for all of us to connect globally over something that we love.”
But Brady’s take on the FIFA boss is not one shared by a lot of supporters, with him often splitting opinions on the world stage.
Infantino has been booed at events and criticised for extending the Club World Cup and handing a new FIFA Peace Prize to Donald Trump.
The decision to give Trump the award in December has been labelled as ‘a disgrace’ by Lyon manager Paulo Fonseca this week.
He has also been slammed for pricing 2026 World Cup tickets extremely highly, with some fans refusing to buy them.
And now, some fans have been sure to make their feelings known on the seven-time Super Bowl winner’s thoughts on him…

‘Will you shut up?’
One person commented on the Instagram video of Brady speaking about Infantino: “Worst take ever, from a football fan.”
Another disagreeing supporter wrote: “Bad take, Tom…”
“He is a man of your people… not the average fan,” a third replied.
A fourth replied with a GIF reading: “Will you shut up, man?”
And a fifth said: “Man of the people, not with these ticket prices.”
“Man of the people, yet prices the majority of football fans out of matches, so that more people like Tommy can fill it up for content on their social media accounts,” a sixth angry fan commented.

On Brady’s side
Despite plenty of opposing opinions to Brady, one man who has also spoken highly of Infantino is Arsene Wenger.
The legendary former Arsenal manager has praised the FIFA president ahead of his ten-year anniversary too.
Wenger, who is the Chief of Football Development for FIFA, said: “Gianni is somebody who wants to move forward.
“He’s always open to new ideas and I’m grateful – he was a huge supporter of my suggestions to educate the players in the academies, in the countries and to develop all the countries.
“He is conscious that every country deserves a chance and he has helped me to get the funds and to get the funds voted by all the federations to support this programme.
“And I must say, he has been a huge supporter of the Development Programme, so overall he’s always keen to move things forward.”
