Fabio Wardley to immediately rematch Daniel Dubois after activating clause following KO loss
Fabio Wardley has activated the rematch clause in his contract with Daniel Dubois, one week removed from their barn-burning bout.
Wardley decked Dubois twice in the opening three rounds on Saturday night, but eventually succumbed to an 11th-round stoppage loss at Manchester’s Co-Op Live Arena.

The Ipswich puncher dropped his WBO heavyweight title in the process, but he is now out to reclaim his crown.
Confirming the news to Sky Sports, he said: “The boxing world knows my character, and Saturday night proved that without a shred of doubt.
“It was a fight for the ages, but I made some mistakes that I will rectify in the rematch.
“Congratulations to Daniel, but I’m coming for you… and my belt!”
A second fight is expected to fall in the Autumn.
Queensberry Promotions chief Frank Warren recently revealed that Dubois will make his first defence of the WBO belt before the end of November.
“As for Daniel’s next fight, a fight in the autumn,” Warren told DAZN in the immediate aftermath in Manchester.
“Autumn finishes in November. So we’ll see what happens. He needs a rest.”
