Ex-F1 world champion suffers head injury during robbery in Swiss home
Formula 1 legend Alain Prost has reportedly been assaulted at his Swiss home, suffering a head injury after armed robbers attacked him.
The four-time world champion was physically attacked after a gang of masked intruders forced their way into his family residence on Tuesday morning, according to the Swiss newspaper Blick.

The masked men, who were allegedly armed, forced a member of the household, thought to be his son, to open the safe.
It was eventually emptied, and the suspects quickly fled the scene with the stolen goods.
The Prosts have not yet made an official statement regarding the incident.
The attack raises serious concerns about safety in the region following 18 reported cases of robbery around Lake Geneva in 2025 alone.
Authorities reportedly suspect that highly organized crime groups from outside of Switzerland are behind the trend, which has increasingly targeted wealthy residents, particularly owners of luxury watches.
The Public Prosecutors Office released a statement: “The Vaud Cantonal Police immediately deployed a major search operation and notified the Public Prosecutor’s Office, which opened a criminal investigation.
“Investigations are continuing to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
“This event required the involvement of several patrols from the Vaud gendarmerie, the canine brigade, the Nyon-Region Police, inspectors from the security police and the forensic police brigade.
“And an ESU psychological support team for the family, the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security and the French Gendarmerie.”
So far, no arrests have been made.

The police immediately launched a large-scale manhunt, deploying officers, dog units, security forces, and forensic investigators to search the area.
Blick has reported that the suspects have fled to France, with the French authorities assisting the Swiss.
The newspaper also reported that the 71-year-old racing icon was left ‘visibly shaken by this brutal intrusion’.
Fortunately, the former McLaren and Ferrari driver is said to be physically okay, with local reports confirming his head injuries are minor.
Additionally, they state Prost has since travelled to Dubai, where he also lives part-time.
The Frenchman remains one of the most iconic names in motorsport history, having competed in Formula 1 for 13 years between 1980 and 1993.

He is globally renowned for his historic rivalry with fellow sporting great Ayrton Senna.
