EFL club sack head coach after just 44 days in charge
Eric Ramsay has left his role as West Brom head coach, the Championship club has announced.
The 34-year-old leaves The Hawthorns just 44 days after being appointed as successor to Ryan Mason having failed to win any of his eight games in charge.

West Brom are firmly locked in a relegation battle and sit just a point above the drop zone.
Ramsay’s departure was announced late on Tuesday which saw the Baggies labour to a 1-1 draw at home to Charlton Athletic.
A club statement read: “West Bromwich Albion have parted company with men’s first team Head Coach Eric Ramsay.
“Assistant head coach Dennis Lawrence has also departed The Hawthorns.
“The club would like to place on record its thanks to Eric and Dennis and wishes them well for the future.
“First team coach James Morrison will oversee first-team affairs on an interim basis.”
End of a (short) era
talkSPORT reported last weekend that Ramsay’s position was under threat following West Brom’s defeat at home to Coventry City.
However, the timing of Ramsay’s departure is a shock given he was only appointed on January 11.
West Brom plucked Ramsay from MLS club Minnesota United after parting ways with former Tottenham Hotspur player Ryan Mason.
