Eagles take WR who played for Howie Roseman’s college pal in ESPN mock draft

With the NCAA Tournament behind us, it is now time to shift focus to the NFL Draft, which takes place in a couple of weeks. We are right in the middle of mock draft season, and ESPN’s Peter Schrager released his first of two mock drafts on Tuesday.

Since the end of the last NFL season, and even during it, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown has seen his name in trade rumors. It seems that there is too much tension between him and other members of the organization. Because of this, the Eagles may draft a wide receiver early in the NFL Draft later this month. This does not come as a shock at this point; however, with the 23rd pick, it is unclear which receiver will be available.

Schrager has the 2025 champions taking a receiver from Washington, who has a connection with current general manager Howie Roseman.

“Boston is electric, and Washington coach Jedd Fisch and Eagles general manager Howie Roseman are longtime college buddies. Some NFL sources I have spoken to have Boston as the second or third wideout in this class. And if the Eagles take him, A.J. Brown’s future becomes all the more interesting and will undoubtedly hit the A Block on “Get Up” on Friday morning coming out of the draft.”

Denzel Boston had an incredible season at Washington, just as Rome Odunze did a few years back. Over his last two seasons as a Huskie, he caught a combined 125 passes for 1,715 yards and 20 touchdown receptions. He even had a two-yard TD run in 2022. Boston is going to be a playmaker wherever he lands in the NFL.
