Dream’s Karl Smesko drops ‘playoff intensity’ truth bomb on win over Fever

Karl Smesko is feeling positive after seeing his Atlanta Dream squad take down the Indiana Fever on the road throughout Thursday night’s matchup.

Smesko is going through the second season of his head coaching career in the WNBA. He impressed in his first year with Atlanta, hoping to bring big success to the franchise.

Part of that objective involves having Atlanta take down playoff contenders like the Fever. Indiana eliminated Atlanta in the first round last year, making this win a payback moment in favor of the Dream. Smesko was on that side of agreement after the game, per reporter Wilton Jackson.

“The more you play like in playoff intensity, like games that are has this type of edge to it, and when both teams are playing at that level, where they’re both playing really well, I think it just, the more you can be in that environment and be in those situations, the more comfortable you’ll be in those situations. … It’s a great road win against a really good team,” Smesko said.
