DK Metcalf sounds just like Aaron Rodgers with Antarctica conspiracy featuring ‘another civilization’

With the 2026 season fast approaching for the Pittsburgh Steelers, wide receiver DK Metcalf is opening up more about his beliefs. Metcalf said in a lengthy interview with The Athletic that he believes there is life in Antarctica that people don’t know about.

“I think it’s another world,” Metcalf said to the outlet. He was then pressed for more information, and elaborated on what he meant.

“I think there is another civilization inside of Earth,” he added.

Metcalf questioned why more people aren’t allowed to travel to that continent.

“You can go to Alaska. You could go to the North Pole,” Metcalf said. “But why not Antarctica? Why can’t you just book a trip to Antarctica?”

Metcalf realizes that there are people who won’t agree with him. That doesn’t bother him. Metcalf also isn’t bothered by the concept of being labeled a “conspiracy theorist,” for holding these views.

“Yeah, I’m a big conspiracy theorist,” Metcalf said. “Shout out to my quarterback.”

Metcalf is referring to Aaron Rodgers, the starting quarterback for the Steelers. Rodgers has questioned official accounts of various events, and been labeled a conspiracy theorist by his critics. Many people agree with Rodgers about his beliefs, while others feel he is divisive.

The outlet states that people can actually go to Antarctica, but it isn’t easy to get a trip there. Metcalf himself may travel there at some point, to investigate his theory.

The Steelers open the 2026 season with a game against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. During the 2025 season, Metcalf caught six touchdown passes. He also posted 850 receiving yards, and 59 receptions.
