Dillian Whyte’s manager delivers savage response to Amir Khan’s ’embarrassing’ Lawrence Okolie fight offer
Amir Khan’s offer to stage a grudge match between Dillian Whyte and Lawrence Okolie has been branded ’embarrassing’ by ‘The Bodysnatcher’s’ manager, Michael Ofo.
The former world champion turned promoter approached Whyte’s team with the view of headlining a December 19 card in Lagos, Nigeria.

Whyte and Okolie have been embroiled in a bitter feud for the best part of six years, stemming from an infamous sparring session posted to social media.
Both men have traded their fair share of verbal jabs online, but have yet to exchange literal ones under the bright lights.
That isn’t expected to change next month, either, with Ofo insisting that the money being placed on the table for the fight fell well short of the mark.
“They sent over an offer to me via email,” Platform Sports CEO, Ofo, told talkSPORT.com.
“To be honest, I thought it was a joke or some sort of typo because the offer was so embarrassing.
“I didn’t even tell Dillian because it just made no sense.
“You want to have a fight with three weeks’ notice, with money so low that Dillian hasn’t made it in the last 10 years or so?
“I actually spoke to the Nigerian promoter, Dr Eze [Adamu], four weeks ago about making a fight for Dillian in Nigeria, and we were told the budget wasn’t there, and now Amir Khan’s team comes three weeks out and tries to make a fight.
“It is just sub-level IQ on their behalf. In reality, Okolie only grabs headlines when he mentions Dillian’s name.
“Nobody is talking about his fight. As soon as he mentions Dillian Whyte’s name, he is getting headlines.

“He’s probably the most boring champion we have had in the last 30 years. He doesn’t bring anything to the table.
“When the going gets tough, he reverts to his holding tactics.
“If they want a fight, come with a sensible offer and with enough time for Dillian to have a training camp.”
Dillian Whyte has another fight on his mind
Whyte last fought in August when he was blown away in one round by precocious heavyweight talent Moses Itauma.
Since then, ‘The Bodysnatcher’ has been locked into negotiations with Derek Chisora over a trilogy bout.
The British heavyweight titans were initially set to square off on December 13 in Manchester, before plans were pushed back after discussions stalled.
“The fight with Chisora is the one Dillian wants, and it is the one we want,” added Ofo.
“We are pushing for it to happen in the first quarter of next year.
“There is no hold up from our side, the pens are ready to sign that fight… The obstacle is Derek.”
