Darts player suspended with immediate effect for alleged match fixing
American darts player Danny Baggish has been suspended by the Darts Regulation Authority pending an investigation into match fixing.
Baggish was initially suspended on May 3 until further notice after it was alleged he was involved in match fixing during the Modus Super Series.

Baggish was due to appear in finals night at this year’s Modus Super Series, but he was pulled out at the last minute despite securing qualification.
However, it was announced by the series that he would be unable to play.
And he has since been banned and put on the WDF’s list of Disciplined Players and Officials.
Baggish took part in the first week of the latest Modus Super Series at the end of April having topped Group A.
But when it came to finals night on the Saturday, no reason was given for why he was absent other than for personal reasons.
Getting back onto the Modus Super Series represented a European comeback for the American.
He previously held a PDC Tour card in 2021 and 2022 but hadn’t played since 2022.
Change in fortunes
Baggish only made his Modus Super Series debut this year and paid an emotional tribute to his late son after victory on his debut.
The American tragically lost his son to cancer in 2025 at just 19 months old.
So, when he returned, it was nearly four years he had been away, and there were emotional scenes when he beat Jeff Smith 4-1.

He held up a picture of his son to the camera, and he was visibly happy.
Speaking after the win, Baggish was emotional as he opened up on just how much the moment had meant to him.
Wiping away tears, he told MODUS: “[It meant] So much. I’m sorry.
“It meant a lot, but I felt it when I got to three legs. I felt the emotions take over a little bit so I had to take a deep breath back there.
“I think last night was the first night I started thinking about back home and stuff. So for a good hour, I was a wreck last night.
“You have to keep it in, you have a job to do. You’ve got to do what you came here to do and you hold it in until there’s a time to release that.
“I have always been an emotional player, but this is different. The moment I hit that double tops, it was a lot of relief and thoughts, appreciation and love came out.”
