Daniel Dubois survives two knockdowns to stop Fabio Wardley in all-time classic
Daniel Dubois picked himself up off the canvas twice to stop a brave Fabio Wardley in one of the best fights ever seen in a British ring.
‘Triple D’ was down in the opening 10 seconds of the first round and again in the third stanza, but he showed immense mental resilience to rebound and stop his compatriot in the eleventh stanza.

In doing so, he snatched the WBO heavyweight title and silenced the naysayers who questioned his heart after his losses to Oleksandr Usyk.
“It was a war,” said Dubois after revitalising his career.
“We came through the sticky moments. Thank you, Fabio, for that. Thank you.
“What a great fight, what a great battle, man.”
Story of the fight
It was bombs away from the opening bell, as Wardley decked Dubois with the first right hand he landed.
Dubois jumped up quickly and saw out the round before rebounding well in the second stanza.
