Dak Prescott breaks silence on Sarah Jane Ramos split

Dak Prescott is speaking out for the first time about his split from his ex-fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos.

In an interview with the Dallas Morning News on Thursday, Aug. 6, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, who split from Ramos in March, spoke about the “unfortunate” split.

“Yeah, I mean, I don’t necessarily think it was public to me,” he began. “Once again, I believe what you take in, what you read, what you look up, you’re doing that to yourself. …”

There hasn’t been an official cause of the breakup with Ramos ever publicized and Prescott explained that there were “a lot of false narratives out there on both of our sides.”

He continued: “That was very unfortunate, unfortunate for me, but somebody who’s been in it and knows how to whatever to the media more to me and fortunate for her, but it’s kind of life we live in.”

Prescott added that it was an “an unfortunate situation for obviously everybody,” adding, “More importantly, the kids. And so for me, it’s just about making sure I’m there in every which way for them.”

Ramos and Prescott share two daughters: Margaret Rose “MJ” born in 2024 and Aurora Rayne, who was born last year.

The couple was set to get married in Lake Como, Italy in April but during their joint bachelor and bachelorette trip in the Bahamas the couple shared that they would be calling off the wedding. An email of what they sent to guests was obtained by TMZ.

“As many of you know, our wedding is currently scheduled to take place in Lake Como, Italy, on Friday, April 10, 2026,” read the email.

“It is with heavy hearts that we privately inform our attendees that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding.”

They concluded the email, writing, “We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, and we welcome your prayers.”

They allegedly broke up due to “ongoing infidelity issues” on the quarterback’s end, according to a source told Page Six.

Ramos has not yet spoken out about the split at this time.
