Robinson and Randle spent five seasons together as one of the best rebounding frontcourts in the league,” Siegel wrote.

“And it shouldn’t come as a secret to anyone that the Lakers already have plans to pursue Robinson as well. Early talk regarding Los Angeles is that they are prepared to offer Robinson a long-term deal that would hold an annual average value around the mid-level exception, sources said.”

Mitchell Robinson would be a huge addition for the Lakers to pull off. His defense and rebounding elevates the team’s talent in the frontcourt, especially as they look to revamp their depth at center.

Robinson remained effective following his eighth year in the league. He averaged 5.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game throughout 60 regular-season appearances. In the playoffs, he produced 4.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest.
