Injury woes continue to be on Christian McCaffrey’s radar as the superstar running back gears up for the San Francisco 49ers’ 2026 campaign.

McCaffrey went through 2025 as a dominant player even though San Francisco went throughout multiple injuries across the roster. He racked up 311 rushes for 1,202 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was also active in the air, catching 102 passes for 924 yards and seven touchdowns.

The 49ers will attempt to improve upon their 12-5 record from the previous season, losing to the eventual Super Bowl champions Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Divisional Round. Not only that, but they also intend to make the playoffs for the second consecutive season and reclaim the NFC West title.

San Francisco looks forward to the start of its season, traveling internationally to Australia. They begin the campaign against the Los Angeles Rams as kickoff takes place on Sept. 10 at 8:35 p.m. ET.
