Cole Palmer reveals stance on trademarked celebration after Morgan Rogers joins Chelsea
Cole Palmer has warned Morgan Rogers he’ll send the bailiffs round if he does his trademarked ‘cold’ celebration.
Rogers joined Chelsea for a club-record £117million earlier this month, reuniting with Palmer.

The pair were on the books at Manchester City before Rogers moved to Middlesbrough in 2023 following a succession of loan spells.
That same summer, Palmer joined Chelsea, and became an immediate hit in west London having scored 22 times and provided 11 assists in his debut Premier League campaign.
It meant Palmer regularly broke out the ‘cold’ celebration, which Rogers also performs when he scores.
Palmer trademarked the celebration with the UK Intellectual Property Office last year, even if his new Chelsea teammate was the first to do it in a professional game.
As Rogers was on international duty with England for the 2026 World Cup, the former Aston Villa man is yet to link up with the Blues squad.
Even so, the English attacking pair have been messaging frequently over the summer once it became clear Rogers would pass up the chance to sign for Arsenal in favour of Chelsea.
During Chelsea’s pre-season tour of Australia, Palmer was asked about a potential celebration clash.
“We’ve never spoke about it,” Palmer replied. “It’s one of them. He does it. I do it.
“I’ve trademarked it so if he tries to do anything, he’ll have the bailiffs at his door.
“Nah, we’ll do it together.”

Chelsea Pensioners
The Blues have enjoyed an active summer having followed up the additions of Marcos Palestra and Rogers with the addition of Maxence Lacroix on Thursday.
And having previously prioritised youth, Chelsea have switched focus to experience.
Xabi Alonso’s side are on the cusp of signing 35-year-old striker Danny Welbeck from Brighton.
Welbeck will be joined at Stamford Bridge by compatriot Jordan Henderson after he terminated his Brentford contract.
The 36-year-old is now free to join Chelsea, and is expected to complete his switch across the capital imminently.
