‘Club is healing’ – West Ham release statement on proposed new badge to delight of fans
West Ham United have confirmed they will consult fans on the design of the club’s new badge.
The Hammers have been accused of alienating the fanbase in recent years, with a number of off-field decisions going down poorly.

However, the club’s new regime are seeking to build bridges with supporters, with a statement on the club’s official website reading: “West Ham United is pleased to inform supporters of the launch of a new fan consultation on the future direction of the Club’s official crest.”
And the move has delighted fans, who took to X to say as much in response to West Ham’s post confirming the decision.
“The club is healing, the club is listening,” one user posted.
Another replied: “Whoa! That’s big news and an early crowd pleaser for the new regime.”
“Brilliant, feels good getting our club back,” a third added.
One user praised the new owners, stating: “Kretinsky, Virani and team doing everything right so far.”
Others, meanwhile, suggested a return to the emblem used between 1999 and 2016, the same year they left Upton Park for the London Stadium.
West Ham set for summer sales
It’s a positive step for the capital outfit, who succumbed to relegation to the Championship on the final day of the Premier League season.
The Hammers finished two points behind rivals Tottenham Hotspur, which ended a 14-year stay in England’s top tier.

And relegation has seen a number of West Ham’s star players linked with a move away from the London Stadium this summer.
Manchester United and Spurs are locked in a transfer tug-of-war in the battle to sign Portuguese midfielder Mateus Fernandes.
Winger Crysencio Summerville, who has caught the eye at the 2026 World Cup, is another to have been linked with a move away from West Ham.
Jarrod Bowen and El Hadji Malick Diouf have also been tipped to leave the club this summer.
Adama Traore and Lukasz Fabianski have both already departed the club, while Axel Disasi returned to Chelsea following the culmination of his loan spell.
