Cam Skattebo breaks John Harbaugh’s No. 1 rule in ‘absurd’ WWE stunt to risk Giants’ wrath
Cam Skattebo left the New York Giants front office and fans sweating at Fanatics fest.
The event drew multiple stars, including Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs, but it would be the Giants running back snatching the headlines.

The Arizona State product is recovering from an open tibia fracture, ruptured deltoid ligament and right ankle dislocation that ended his rookie season early.
Upon appearing on stage to Triple H‘s entrance music, ‘The Game’ Skattebo attempted to wow the crowd with a backflip, and it didn’t go so well.
Skattebo appeared to tell fans his knee is fully healthy. He lifted his right trouser leg to show off his surgery scar, and shrugged it off.
The now second-year running back then attempted his backflip, only to fall backward and lose his balance before he got up and celebrated loudly.
He didn’t leave the event limping and clearly was in high spirits.
It was a heart-in-mouth moment for Giants fans across the country, and goes directly against what his new head coach wished.
Skattebo was able to do light practice at Giants OTA’s in June, where John Harbaugh told him “no back flips”.
It’s hard to imagine what Harbaugh, whom they poached from the Baltimore Ravens, would be thinking, based off the reactions from Giants fans.
“I just know that left knee is hurting after that, we need this guy on the field not replacing his ACL,” one commented.
“His knee said ‘not today’ I just know Harbaugh is sweating after watching that,” a second added.

“Dude is just a ball of energy, but wise up, we need you fit and healthy this year,” a third said.
“Skatt had major surgery in his rookie year, and then goes on to do stupid things like this, what are we doing?” a fourth said.
“The boy is daft, but we all knew that already, I bet Harbaugh is flipping tables,” a fifth added.
Skattebo’s health is an important factor to the Giants as they prepare to enter a new era under Harbaugh.
Their running game finished as a top-5 unit last year, and the rookie was a big part of that accomplishment.
As a rookie, he developed a good relationship with Jaxson Dart, and finished with 410 rushing yards, 24 receptions for 207 yards, and seven touchdowns from scrimmage.

With Matt Nagy as offensive coordinator, and Greg Roman on staff as an assistant, the offense looks set to shift more toward a gap-based run scheme.
Whether Skattebo’s antics was a sign of confidence or just a reckless lapse in judgment, his value to the Giants’ immediate plans cannot be overstated.
With the additions made to the coaching staff, the Giants have made it clear ground play will be the force behind Dart’s sophomore development.
A healthy Skattebo is the undisputed engine of that approach.
