Brutal 1st Game 4 half vs. Spurs has Knicks fans in a full-on panic

The San Antonio Spurs drained the energy out of an optimistic crowd inside Madison Square Garden. The New York Knicks endured a physical and brutal night from Victor Wembanyama and company. The first half left fans searching for answers, and hitting the personal panic button.

San Antonio jumped to an astonishing 28-point lead inside one of the loudest arenas. NBA insider for ClutchPoints Brett Siegel painted a vivid picture of the tensions from Knick fans inside the arena.

“Knicks fans are ready to fight the refs tonight. Between a missed goaltending and now basket interference on offense for Wemby that wasn’t called, Game 4 has been interesting,” Siegel posted on the social media website X, formerly Twitter.

Former NBA All-Star Isaiah Thomas couldn’t help but praise the Spurs.

“Knicks haven’t had no adversity since the 1st round. Bad timing right now… Spurs ROLLING,” Thomas posted.

Another fan joked they were going to switch the game to Love Island over watching the onslaught.

San Antonio took an astonishing 76-49 lead into halftime. Wemby led the charge with 16 points. Devin Vassell added 15 points while De’Aaron Fox added 13.

Jalen Brunson scored 19 points to lead New York while OG Anunoby chipped in 14. But no other Knicks player reached double figures in the first half as New York struggled on the shooting end.

San Antonio can even the series at 2-2 before shifting the series back to Frost Bank Center. So far the road team has won each game and the Spurs are currently positioned to continue that stunning trend.
