Browns rumors: WR drawing Zay Flowers comps joins Todd Monken in ESPN mock draft

The Cleveland Browns are still in the early stages of their most recent rebuild. Cleveland brought in Todd Monken at head coach after firing Kevin Stefanski. Monken lands a wide receiver who he should know how to use in one recent mock draft.

ESPN’s Peter Schrager released a new mock draft on Tuesday. He paired Cleveland with KC Concepcion, who has received comparisons to Baltimore’s Zay Flowers.

“Concepcion is a do-everything wideout who averaged 15.1 yards per catch in 2025 and can also be a key playmaker in the return game,” Schrager wrote. “I’ve had multiple sources compare Concepcion to Zay Flowers. New offensive coordinator Travis Switzer and new coach Todd Monken both had Flowers in Baltimore, and they could get creative with how they use Concepcion in this offense. I had the Browns going with an offensive tackle at No. 6, but they need a playmaker, too.”

Schrager also had the Browns using the sixth overall pick on Utah’s Spencer Fano.

The wide receiver position is a surprisingly huge need for the Browns ahead of the 2026 season. Cleveland still has Jerry Jeudy as their top receiver, but everyone else on the depth chart is a question mark. Cedric Tillman has not impressed in three seasons, failing to go over 350 receiving yards. Isaiah Bond is a fascinating prospect, but by no means a slam dunk WR3.

Concepcion brings exceptional short-area burst to the table. He is capable of evading press coverage at the line of scrimmage and finding the holes in zone coverage.

If the Browns did draft Concepcion, he could become an ideal slot wide receiver and gadget player.

Cleveland seems destined to add at least one wide receiver during the draft. It will be exciting to see if Concepcion ends up being one of those players.
