Brock Lesnar explains potential WWE WresteMania 42 retirement decision

Last year at WWE SummerSlam 2025, Brock Lesnar made his shocking return following a long absence and attacked John Cena. Shortly after, Lesnar again became an active part of the roster, fighting in the 2025 WarGames, 2026 Royal Rumble, and WrestleMania 42 against Oba Femi.

However, after getting destroyed by Femi weekly on Monday Night RAW, Lesnar also suffered a brutal loss against Femi at WrestleMania 42. Shortly after the loss, Lesnar left behind his gloves and walked out of the ring, teasing a potential retirement.

Although “The Beast Incarnate” had other plans in mind. Last week on RAW, Lesnar made his shocking return and attacked Femi. This week, on the May. 25, 2026 edition of RAW, Lesnar explained his decision to seemingly retire and then come back and attack Femi.

“I’ve had my share of a**-whoopings over the years, but none quite like that, it was humbling. You beat my a** so bad I said ‘that’s it, I’m done’. But that doesn’t sit very well with me Oba. It’s not gonna end that way Oba Femi. Brock Lesnar can take an a**-whooping, but can you? You’re gonna get your ass kicked by a humbled, retired beast. Brock Lesnar will conquer Oba Femi. I am gonna rule over Oba Femi,” he said.

After the video promo package finished, Femi confronted Paul Heyman in the ring and said he was going to kill Lesnar. Apart from the pre-recorded video package, Lesnar was not seen on the recent episode of RAW.

Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi are now scheduled to face each other in May. 31, 2026 edition of Clash in Italy.
