49ers news: The dirty details behind Jed York’s arrest feature $140, trailer park

The San Francisco 49ers owner, Jed York, found himself in some hot water over the weekend. York was arrested a pled no-contest to disorderly conduct and possesion of criminal tools. It later came out that the charges were initially for engaging in prostitution.

Now, more details around the arrest have come to light, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

Court documents show that York “responded to an ad on a known prostitution website in Columbiana County, Ohio and ‘arranged to have sexual activity with the female in exchange for $140.00.’”

Further, York went to the meeting spot, which was a trailer park in East Palestine, Ohio, where he was taken into custody. Law enforcement determined that York had “in his possession his cellular device which was used to arrange the criminal act.”

The cell phone is speculated to be the criminal tool that the charges speak of.

The 49ers owner will be subject to discipline under the Personal Conduct Policy of the NFL. The NFL has released a response to the incident and said it will be reviewed.

When Robert Kraft was charged with two cunts of soliciting prostitution, the NFL did not fine or suspend Kraft. Owners have been punished for conduct before, though. Dan Snyder was fined twice in his tenure as owner of the Washington Commanders, with the second fine being for workplace misconduct and sexual harassment. The late Jim Irsay was fined and suspended after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. David Tepper of the Carolina Panthers was fined for throwing a drink at a fan, while Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys and the late Bud Adams of the Tennessee Titans were both fined for making obscene gestures towards fans.
