Brewers’ Jackson Chourio keeps homer party going in Vegas series vs A’s

The Las Vegas Ballpark continues to be the gift that keeps on giving for the Milwaukee Brewers’ offense.

A day after an absolutely bonkers series-opening 15-14 victory over the Athletics, the Brewers got back to it, with Jackson Chourio launching a home run right in his very first at-bat of the contest.

After a single by leadoff batter Christian Yelich, Chourio stepped on the plate and jumped on a 2-2 pitch from Athletics starter J.T. Ginn for a 354-foot two-run home run, putting the Brewers ahead early, 2-0. It was also the 12th home run of the series, with Milwaukee and the A’s combining for 11 in the series opener on Monday alone.

Here is a video of that home run from the 22-year-old Chourio:

The Athletics are hosting Milwaukee as part of the club’s featured games at the Triple-A ballpark, and both teams are making it look like a Little League park with the power they’re flexing. Conversely, the park is turning out to be a nightmare for the pitchers.

Kyle Harrison, who’s been one of the best pitchers (and biggest surprises) in the 2026 season, was clobbered for eight runs in 2 1/3 innings on Monday. Fortunately for him, Milwaukee’s offense outslugged the Athletics in the highest-scoring game of the season, thus far.

Chourio did not hit a home run in that game, but he went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a walk.

In the second game of the series, Chourio finally joined the dinger party, and he could have at least another in store before the game or the series ends.
