Ben Stiller doubles down on Hawks playoff series prediction at Game 1

Ben Stiller has faith that the New York Knicks playoff series against the Atlanta Hawks will be over soon.

Stiller, who is a die-hard Knicks fan, is doubling down on his original take about the Knicks winning the series in five games. After the Knicks beat the Hawks 113-102 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference NBA playoff series at Madison Square Garden, in video footage posted by NBA on Prime, Stiller is seen with his hand up mouthing “five” in reference to his previous post online.

Last week, Stiller agreed with Shaun Possible’s take on X, who believes New York will win the series in five games. Stiller added the down arrow emoji in approval of Possible’s post.

Several fans agreed with Stiller’s take, mostly with a lot thinking that the Knicks will blow out the Hawks completely, winning the series in four games.

A lot of Knicks fans are excited for this season as they want the team to make it even further in the playoffs and bring home the chip. Last season, the Knicks made it to the Eastern Conference Semifinals, where they faced the Indiana Pacers and ultimately lost 3-4 in the seven-game series.

For the first round of the Eastern Conference NBA playoff series, Jalen Brunson that the team fought hard to secure a win.

“It was a hard-fought win. It was physical,” Brunson said per ESPN,. “It was a grind-it-out game.”

“It’s really important, you never know what’s going to happen,” Brunson continued. “There’s going to be highs and lows of a season, highs and lows of a game, and to be able to fight through and still find a way to impact is very important for us, especially this point of the season.”

The Knicks face the Hawks again in Game 2 at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, April 21.
