Ben Roethlisberger makes’extremely nervous’ admission on Steelers’ Drew Allar

“Just to me, when I’m watching him do like three-step drops, that makes me incredibly nervous,” Roethlisberger said, raising eyebrows across Steeler Nation.

Fortunately for Pittsburgh, Aaron Rodgers remains firmly entrenched as the 2026 starter. That gives Allar valuable developmental runway behind an experienced veteran. Still, Roethlisberger’s comments inject a dose of realism into the excitement surrounding Allar’s elite physical traits and massive arm talent.

Few people understand the demands of playing quarterback in Pittsburgh better than Roethlisberger himself. Drafted 11th overall in 2004, “Big Ben” spent all 18 of his NFL seasons with the Steelers.
