She provided no further details, and fans were quick to share their love and support for her.

Upon returning to the network, Erdhal’s co-host Kyle Brant gave her a big welcome.

“It’s fantastic to see your face here on JMFB, Jamie Morning Football,” co-host Brandt joked.

“We’ve missed you, we love that you’re here. Nothing has changed in the NFL, it’s no big deal, there’s been nothing weird, there’s been nothing exciting. You missed nothing — you missed a lot Jamie!”

Erdhal is beloved within the network, which made her absence hit all the more harder when the the reason was revealed.

It turned out that her father was unfortunately diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February.

In a heartbreaking tribute on X, Erdhal revealed that her father had passed away.

“3 days after the Super Bowl, my Dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Now, he is gone,” Erdhal wrote.

“I loved him with my whole heart. He was so bright, social, kind, inclusive, generous and wise.

“I watched him make everyone’s world better. He made mine great. I’ll love you forever, Dad. SKOL”
