Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski is extension-eligible, and ClutchPoints Senior NBA Reporter Brett Siegel believes he could land a big payday. Podziemski is one of several players in the 2023 draft class who could land a lofty extension.

In July, Siegel shared his thoughts on what Podziemski's extension could look like in a post on his X account.

“I think the sweet spot would be between that $18-19 million per year range. I personally expect this to be a little bit north of $20 million. Somewhere in that $22-24 million range for Brandin Podziemski annually.”

But in an August report, Siegel noted that Podziemski could enter the start of the season without inking an extension.

“Do not be surprised if Podziemski enters the 2026-27 season in the final year of his rookie deal and is staring down restricted free agency next offseason. After all, he still needs to prove his overall worth either in the starting lineup or as the team's sixth man,” Siegel said.

In his latest report, Siegel believes that the number for Podziemski will be one that showcases the Warriors' loyalty to him: a four-year, $70 million extension with an AAV of ~$17.5 million

“Although it is unknown at this time whether the Warriors have put an offer on the table during training camp, a fair deal for Podziemski and one for the organization to prove their loyalty to him would be something slightly higher than the MLE,” Siegel said.

Podziemski was a key player for the Warriors last season, especially during Stephen Curry's absence due to his injury. Podziemski played all 82 games and averaged 13.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting 37.1% from 3-point range.
