The Dallas Mavericks have waived John Poulakidas and Seth Lundy as the organization finalizes its roster ahead of the 2026-27 NBA regular season.

Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported Saturday on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Dallas had parted ways with Poulakidas, who occupied a two-way roster spot.

“The Dallas Mavericks have waived two-way guard John Poulakidas, league sources told @hoopshype.”

ClutchPoints NBA insider Brett Siegel subsequently reported that Lundy was also being released.

“In addition to Poulakidas, the Mavs are also waiving Seth Lundy.”

The moves come after Dallas concluded its preseason schedule with a 1-3 record, including Friday night's 135-111 loss to the Atlanta Hawks.

Poulakidas and Lundy were competing for opportunities as the Mavericks evaluated their depth ahead of the regular season. Their departures give Dallas additional flexibility as the front office makes its final roster decisions.
