The Utah Jazz are bringing back a familiar face ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season, claiming veteran center Tony Bradley off waivers following his departure from the Atlanta Hawks.
As Utah prepares for its regular-season opener against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday, the organization has reunited with its former first-round pick from the 2017 NBA Draft.
ESPN's Shams Charania reported the move Saturday via X, formerly known as Twitter.
“The Utah Jazz have claimed center Tony Bradley off free agency waivers, sources tell ESPN. Bradley was the Jazz's No. 28 pick in 2017 and now returns where he spent his first 3 NBA seasons.”
Bradley, 28, spent his first three NBA seasons with Utah from 2017 to 2020 before continuing his career with several organizations, including the Philadelphia 76ers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Chicago Bulls.

The veteran center later joined the Indiana Pacers, contributing to the team's run to the 2025 NBA Finals before splitting the 2025-26 campaign between Indiana and Atlanta.
Across 41 games, including four starts, Bradley averaged four points and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 54.7% from the field and 50% from 3-point range in 11 minutes per contest.
His return provides the Jazz with another experienced frontcourt option as the organization continues developing its young roster.
