Michigan football refused to pull the plug on Bryce Underwood behind center before Saturday. Now head coach Kyle Whittingham intervened against Penn State.
Whittingham chose to yank Underwood and place Tommy Carr at quarterback during the third quarter.
And Carr stepped in following this fiery interaction Underwood had on the Michigan sidelines.
But Underwood went 5-of-11 for 43 yards and got picked off two times. He struggled to move the football or even spark points for Michigan. Underwood didn't fare much as a runner either, carrying the ball three times for 11 yards.
