With the Indiana football team suffering a loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday, 19-15, it gives the program a feeling it hasn't experienced in a long time, which is losing. As the Indiana football loss featured botches and other missed opportunities, that was the crux of what head coach Curt Cignetti talked about in his post-game press conference.
Speaking to the media after the Buckeyes snapped the Hoosiers' 22-game winning streak, Cignetti emphasized the “missed opportunities” the team had throughout the contest.
“Alright, well, the sun comes up tomorrow, and we’ll have to get ready for Michigan, prep for Michigan. That was a tough one not to win. I thought our kids gave great effort and fight and hung in there and put ourselves in position to win the close game,” Cignetti said.
“Had so many opportunities to get it done, not only at the end of the game, but throughout the game,” Cignetti continued. “Just too many missed opportunities on offense; I thought our defense really played well. They had their backs against the wall quite a few times, and maybe we kick a field goal or something of that nature.”
