Texas football has suddenly lost two consecutive games. The Longhorns were defeated 27-24 by Florida on Saturday in a crushing defeat. Arch Manning had a rather mediocre performance, as he went 14-20 through the air with 173 yards and one touchdown. Head coach Steve Sarkisian mentioned that everyone's play would be evaluated after the loss, something that led to a brutally honest response from Arch Manning, via CJ Vogel of OnTexasFootball.

“Yeah, I mean everyone is evaluated every week,” Manning told reporters after the game. “That's how it is when you go to a school like this… Everyone's gotta get better and it starts with me.”

Manning remains an intriguing prospect, but there is no question that he has yet to meet his lofty expectations. That is something that can also be said for the entire Texas football offense overall. It begins with Manning, though, which is something that he understands.

“Obviously as a quarterback you have to instill confidence in everyone,” Manning said during his postgame press conference as well, via Zach Dimmitt of Texas Longhorns on SI. “Right now, we're struggling on offense, and it's disappointing. But the beauty of this schedule is we got another game next weekend against a good opponent. We got to flush this and learn from it and move on because we got games coming up.
