49ers defensive end Nick Bosa remains out with the calf injury that kept him from playing in Week 3 and a return date has remained unclear as the team prepares to face the Broncos this weekend.
General Manager John Lynch wasn’t able to clear that up during a Thursday appearance on KNBR. Lynch confirmed that Bosa is almost certainly going to miss this week’s game and that the team wants to “make sure he’s right on all counts” before his eventual return to action.
“I think he’s working through it, and when he’s right, we’ll have him back out there,” Lynch said, via 49ersWebzone.com. “I’m not trying to be vague. Calf injuries are sometimes murky.”
Wide receiver Mike Evans (rib) and left tackle Trent Williams (stinger) were also out of practice on Wednesday. Lynch said Evans is “going to make every attempt to try to play” through the injury and that Williams could return to practice on Thursday.
