Arsenal will be transfer ‘vultures’ as Mikel Arteta urged to sign star player from Premier League rivals
Arsenal are set to be top dogs in the transfer window, and a move for Morgan Rogers would bolster their side.
That’s the view of Tony Cascarino as the Gunners look to build upon their Premier League title triumph by signing the Aston Villa and England talent.

talkSPORT understands that Rogers has become the leading transfer target for Arsenal and is keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Villa are yet to have received any offers for the 23-year-old, who started for England in their 2-0 win over Panama at the World Cup.
However, Arsenal are expected to make a bid for Rogers, who is also understood to be open to a move abroad.
And Cascarino, who made 54 appearances for Villa, has hinted that they may find it difficult to keep hold of the forward this summer.
“Look, I’ve always got deep sentiment for Aston Villa because I played there and I loved it at the football club,” he said on the World Cup Sports Breakfast.
“I never wanted to leave when I was there and, unfortunately, two things come and I moved on.
“And Arsenal are a club that are at the top of the tree now, so they’re going to be vultures trying to get some players to come to their club.
“Morgan Rogers is, I think, best out on the left, but not as a left winger. And that’s where I think the difference is where, with Arsenal, they can play that role.
“I think they will always have that (Gabriel) Martinelli type that can come on and maybe be a sub. But a certain starter? And doing that…
“(Leandro) Trossard’s done really well at Arsenal, but I would say Morgan Rogers is a much more physical, difficult player to play against and comes in with goals.

“And Trossard’s done great from when he moved on from Brighton.
“But I do think it will be a position that Arteta will feel (needs to be strengthened), that left side, because I think Martinelli is going to be just in and out of the team way too often.
“I think he can be quite hit and miss but when he does come on, he can make a difference.”
All change on the Arsenal wing?
Rogers scored 14 goals and assisted a further 12 for Villa last season, and would likely be one of the best summer signings should he move.
If he was to join Arsenal, then there could be a case of out with the old and in with the new for Mikel Arteta and the north Londoners.
It’s understood two Premier League clubs have enquired about Trossard, whilst Martinelli has interest from the Saudi Pro League.

They made a combined 61 appearances during Arsenal’s league success, but the club appear keen to refresh their left wing options.
talkSPORT reported earlier in June that, alongside their interest in Rogers, Arsenal are exploring a deal for Greek winger Christos Tzolis.
Club Brugge want close to £35million for the 24-year-old, who used to play for Championship side Norwich City.
Any move for Tzolis would not impact a deal for Rogers this summer.
