Arsenal told two major weaknesses in PSG team they must exploit to win Champions League

Arsenal must target Paris Saint-Germain’s disappointing goalkeeper and one of their weak centre-backs to win the Champions League.

The Gunners face the Parisian powerhouse on Saturday, live on talkSPORT, as they look to follow up their Premier League title success with a first ever major piece of European silverware.

However, Arsenal’s are in for a tough evening as they seek to overcome the defending European champions.

PSG won the Champions League for the first time last season, easing to a 5-0 win over Inter Milan in Munich.

Like opposite number Mikel Arteta, Luis Enrique is looking to mastermind the double with PSG pipping Lens to the Ligue 1 title this season.

PSG boast one of the best squads in world football, but former Arsenal midfielder Petit has pinpointed two weaknesses the north London side need to exploit in order to secure victory in Budapest.

“If there is a weakness in that PSG team, Emmanuel, what is it?” White asked on Tuesday’s White and Jordan.

Before Petit could get a word in, Jordan replied with: “Goalkeeper.”

“Even the ‘keeper, you know, he has improved a lot in the last couple of weeks,” Petit continued.

“He impressed in the game against Lens 10 days ago.”

White then stated: “You were about to say there is no weakness…”

The Frenchman then added context: “Yeah, I think I will have said the same, you know, the goalkeeper.

“When I look at the defenders, I would probably say Marquinhos. He’s not that young anymore.

“He struggles when he faces a strong opponent but when you look at the team, the individuals, I don’t see any weakness.

“They are so strong in every compartment.”

‘Play your own football’

Jordan asked how Arsenal win this game, with Petit stating: “Just play your football. Look Paris Saint-Germain in the eyes. Come on the pitch and play your own football.

“You have to forget about how they play. You have to put something personal on the pitch.

“Come on the pitch and you want to win that final. It doesn’t matter who you are playing against.

“This is, for me, the solution. If I am an Arsenal player, I will come into that final thinking: ‘Listen guys, for 16 months now this team has been the worst team to beat on the planet.

“‘They have amazing players, they are so good collectively, but it doesn’t matter. We have qualities. We are strong.

“‘We just won the Premier League, the toughest league in the world. In the Champions League, we’ve been one of the most improving teams in the last three or four years, so we have the quality to hurt them as well’.

“Tactically, this is very interesting.”
